This site is run by Henry Hirsch, doing business as Hirsch Advisory, in Orange County, California. In this policy, “I” and “me” mean Henry Hirsch.
What I collect
I collect only what you choose to send me. If you use the contact form, that is your name, email address, and message, plus your business name, phone number, the service you are interested in, and your best times for a call if you fill those in. If you unlock the full breakdown in a Cost of a lost customer calculator, I receive your email address and the numbers you entered there, such as your guess and your own figures. If you email or call me, I receive whatever you share.
How it is used
I use it to reply to you and to talk about whether I can help. I do not sell your information, rent it, or use it for advertising, and I do not share it except with the services I need to run the business, described below.
Who handles it
When you submit the contact form or unlock a calculator breakdown, it passes through Formspree, a form service, which emails it to my inbox. I may also keep a record of calculator entries in a spreadsheet in my Google Workspace account. My email is run through Google Workspace. If you book a time, the booking page is Google Calendar’s, and Google handles what you enter there under its own privacy policy. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like most web hosts, keeps ordinary technical records of visits, such as the device and approximate location a page request came from.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are viewed. That tool does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. The Cost of a lost customer calculators save the numbers you enter in your own browser, so you can pick up where you left off. They stay on your device and are not sent to me unless you unlock the full breakdown by entering your email, in which case I receive the numbers you entered along with your email. You can clear what is saved in your browser any time in your browser settings, or with the Clear all link on the calculator.
Call recordings
My coaching and client conversations may be recorded. I tell you at the start of every call, and if you would rather I not record, I stop. I do not record the unannounced calls I make to a business as part of an audit. Recordings are kept only while we are working together and are deleted when the work ends, or within 30 days if we do not work together. They are never sold and never shared, and I ask that you do not record our calls without agreeing it first.
How long I keep it
I keep messages and calculator entries as long as I need them to carry on a conversation or to keep a record of my business. Call recordings are kept for the length of our work together and then deleted. You can ask me to delete anything I have from you at any time.
Your choices
You can ask what I have from you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to [email protected] and I will respond.
